Walking and Talking

Two very simple things, but together they equal the most special part of my day. No matter how hard my day is or how stressed I am, I always have something to look forward to--coming home and spending time with Landon. Going on a walk every night has really been such a blessing to our marriage and I know we will continue to do this until we literally are unable to walk anymore. When we go on our walk, everything we have been doing that day is dropped and we literally stop for an hour and have nothing to focus on but EACH OTHER. This hour long walk every night makes every hard day worth it. It helps strengthen me and keep my life in focus....nothing matters but my husband and this gospel. Nothing. We have been going through a lot of hard things lately, but together we have been able to stay strong and work through it TOGETHER. I don't think most people in their first year of marriage have to deal with so much change and trial, but I'm definitely not complaining. All of these hardships have helped Landon and I appreciate each other and rely on each other and our love for each other has grown even deeper. I know it probably seems as if I'm going off on a tangent (because this post was about our nighttime walks) but that is exactly my point--these are the types of things Landon and I discuss on our walks at night! Our love for each other, our future, the gospel, our trials, The Plan of HAPPINESS, etc! Its these walks and talks that help keep me grounded and keep my life in perspective. I am so grateful for my sweet Landon Dean and for our nightly walks and talks.
