About a week ago Charlie got a call from Nini asking if he could go on a date on Thursday. He was SO excited--like instantly started squealing! All week leading up to the date he would talk about his date with Nini and Papa.
When they came to pick him he was just on cloud 9 and sooo happy! We took this picture on their way out the door and it's my favorite! He didn't know where he was going and neither did we. :)
Well, Nini and Papa took Charlie to Build-a-Bear! He picked out this little blue monster named "Monster" of course. I just think it's hilarious that out of all the the stuffed animals (including Paw Patrol!) he chose the monster. SO cute!
After Build-a-Bear they went to get ice cream. Charlie is SO loved and SO spoiled! :)
I say it all the time, but I'm just so grateful that Charlie has so much love in his life. He really is such a LOVED little boy! Thanks so much Nini and Papa!!
Nini and Papa (Suzette and Jason haha) had a Sea Doo back in Texas, but sold it before moving to Utah. Landon has been begging them to get another one because we have been spending so many weekends on the lake this summer. Of course we never thought they would be really buying one NOW!
So we had plans to go to the lake and just hang out. Well, they pulled into our culdesac with the most beautiful SEA DOO! Landon ran into the house all frantic (at first I panicked thinking something was wrong!) and just exclaimed, "HANNAH! GO OUTSIDE! THEY GOT A SEA DOO!"
We have all had sooo much fun! Charlie loves to "drive" it and even got to go on the tube. He's so funny and will say "go fast 'da boat!" or "Papa Nini so fast boat!" etc. He loves it! Landon has had some awesome wake boarding and foil boarding practice too.
Going on a walk with Nini at the lake to get a TREAT!
Charlie literally talks about going to the lake and Nini and Papa's boat almost daily. :)
We had SO much fun celebrating America's birthday with Charlie! It was always one of my favorite holidays as a kid (I will never understand how people can like it more than Christmas though...) so it just makes me so happy to start making memories and traditions with our little family.
We started the day by going to Riverton's little carnival and the park. Unfortunately Charlie wasn't tall enough to ride ANY of the kiddie rides. Bummer! But he actually didn't seem to care and just had fun looking at everything.
matchy matchy :)
After that we played at the park and walked around the booths that were set up.
His cheeks in this picture KILL me! So funny.
Then it was naps for everyone before a BBQ and pool party at Nini and Papa's. Charlie had SOOO much fun playing in the water!!
Next up was the food, and Charlie is a big fan of food. He ate his very first hamburger and LOVED it. It was the funniest thing because he kept saying "mmm hmm!" as he was taking bites.
And of course we finished the day with fireworks. We decided to go check out the Riverton City fireworks and it was so fun. Charlie is so funny and would say "BIG" and then whisper "firework." He is such a character!!
I just love seeing life through Charlie's eyes! It was the best day.
