My goodness, our little Teddy is just the sweetest, snuggliest, cutest little guy and we can't believe he is already FOUR months old. It's crazy all that has happened in his short life (surgery and a global pandemic!) and the amount of stress and fear and panic we've had...but at the same time he's brought us so much peace and joy and we are just so grateful to have him in our family! We are all completely obsessed!!!!
Teddy is our sensitive little love bug who doesn't like to play rough or even play peek-a-boo unless you're doing it very gently and not too loud haha.
He hasn't rolled over, doesn't love tummy time, and would really prefer just to be held and snuggled. It's just so crazy to us because Charlie was rolling over at 5 weeks, hated cuddling, loved to rough house...so they're just complete opposites. He's just the sweetest, cutest baby and we are all so in love with him!
Okay here are some highlights from his third month:
-Teddy loves to be held and it's so cute because he will actually hold you back, grab your clothes, and then lay his head on your shoulder. I know this is probably typical for babies but Charlie just pushed us away so it's really nice to have a snuggly baby haha.
-On March 2nd Teddy slept in his own room for the first time. He slept great, but I didn't! I went back and forth 50 times about whether I should move him over or not, because I wasn't necessarily planning to move him that soon, but I knew it would be best for him. We were just waking him up too early in the morning. I was so sad to not have my baby close to me but it really was for the best. I'm so proud of my big boy!
-Teddy played outside for the first time. We finally had some nice weather!
-He lost most of his hair from the dang helmet but has the cutest little tuft of dark brown hair left on the back. His hair is actually starting to grow back pretty fast and seems like it's going to be darker than Charlie's hair was.
-Teddy got to meet his little buddy, Elliott. My friend Jen had a baby exactly two months after Teddy and I'm so excited for them to be little friends!
-Teddy's head is looking SO good. It's crazy how much it's changed since his surgery almost 2 months ago. His helmet doesn't seem to bother him, other than when it needs an adjustment. We had to go into the clinic twice for an adjustment because it was going over his eyes. Poor baby!
After his adjustment. Much better!
-We celebrated Teddy's first Saint Patrick's Day and he just looked so cute with his little hat over his helmet!
-Teddy had his first earthquake on March 18th! It happened just after 7am and he woke up but Landon gave him his binky and he went right back to bed. Around 9am we heard that there was going to be a 9.0 earthquake within the next hour (whichturned out to be a really mean rumor) and I have never moved so fast to get my boys outside and safe. We hung out in the car for a bit with the puppies and some food I randomly grabbed. Since then I've packed a container with our emergency supplies if we need to leave in a hurry. It wasn't a super fun day!
-Teddy got to meet his Great Aunt Bab (Landon's Aunt) and Great Uncle Dick. It was so good to see them!
-Teddy is fascinated by Charlie and loves to watch him play. Sometimes when Charlie gets a little too loud it scares him, but overall he's just obsessed with his big brother.
-Teddy is the happiest little baby and it's really easy to get him to giggle. It's the best sound in the whole world!!!
-Teddy loves to play in the bath, which is a good thing because we have to clean his stinky head every night. He loves to splash and play in the water and be cozy. He's just a tiny little guy and only weighs 13 pounds. He still wears size 1 diapers and some 0-3 month clothes. He's starting to get some chub, but for the most part he's pretty skinny.
-Teddy's a really good sleeper at night and sleeps from about 9:30pm-9:30am! He doesn't love to nap during the day though and we are lucky if we get a full hour from him.
-We had a "social distancing" visit with my parents because they are finally home from Hawaii but we didn't want to risk getting them sick. It sucked.
-Landon has been working from home since March 16th and we all love having him home and safe with us. I think Teddy is his favorite co-worker ;)
-Teddy loves to play on his play mat. He smacks his toys like a crazy person and it's so cute! He also likes to hold his ball and other toys when he's in his bouncer and bumbo. He does NOT love tummy time though...
-We celebrated Landon's 32nd birthday and Teddy got his first taste of chocolate frosting. He was going to town on Landon's finger, so we are pretty sure he is a chocolate fan!
-Teddy has the funniest little cry. It starts out with a kind of coughing sound before he busts into the full blown cry. You can hear it at the end of this video.
Okay and here are some other random pictures and videos because we can't get enough of this little love!
Teddy Jack, I can't believe how big you are getting! Time is going way too fast and you are just our calm during this crazy time. We love you so much!
