This week I finished painting his dresser and also found a darling rocking chair for $25! And yes, I know I need a cushion ha... :) It feels good to be making some progress on his room.
Alright time for the update.
Baby is the Size of a: Last week he was a butternut squash and this week he is a cabbage! He weighs about 3 pounds and is 16 inches long. He almost weighs as much as Oliver!
Cravings: I'm still on my sugar kick so I really love fun dip! I usually have some after dinner every night. (Shout out to Ang for buying me a huge pack at the beginning of my pregnancy! You're the best ever!)
Food Aversions: So I really dread eating anything spicy, greasy, acidic, etc. because heartburn is no joke. I just like plain food.
Symptoms: Still nauseous--mostly at night but now it's starting to happen in the morning/all day again. Also, my blood pressure is kind of high. So I'm trying my hardest to stay calm and just not get stressed over things, but anyone who knows me knows that's kind of impossible. At my last appointment it was 150/80 so that's not super great.
Fears: Feeling pretty good actually. Of course I'm nervous about the transition to parenthood and labor and nursing and all that stuff, but I don't feel overly stressed or worried right now :)
General Mood: So happy and really emotional. I cry soooo easily, whether I'm happy, sad, angry, grateful... I just feel like my heart is mush right now. Also, I can't even see a picture of a mom and dad with their newborn without crying. I really just can't handle it.
Sleep: Blah, definitely getting worse. I wake up a lot throughout the night and it's usually kind of hard to fall back asleep because he's having a party. Also, I tried doing the pillow between my legs thing but it always ended up thrown off my bed in the middle of the night somehow?
Maternity Clothes: Of course. I'm huge. This is actually a dumb question. I think I'm going to take it off next time....
Movement: All the time! It's starting to feel less jabby and more like rolling movements. It's so weird to see a part of my belly get pushed up and then trying to guess which body part it is haha. Oh man, he's so cute! He also gets hiccups a lot. I will feel the tiny hiccups and then a few minutes later he'll just start freaking out and moving around like crazy... poor little guy! :( Landon got to feel the hiccups this morning and then the spazzy movements of baby boy freaking out over them. It's so cute and so sad ha. Definitely feeling him wiggle and move is my favorite part of pregnancy and something I know I'm going to miss so much.
Looking Forward To: Well, we leave for Hawaii in two days... AHHH! So definitely looking forward to that! After Hawaii is my baby shower so there's just a lot of exciting things happening in the next few weeks. My cute sisters have put so much effort into planning it, it makes me cry! They're just the best ever. I'm so excited to celebrate this sweet baby with my family and friends!
Anyway, life is good and we are so happy and soooo excited to meet this sweet boy! Only 10 more weeks (or hopefully closer to 9... ha! Wishful thinking?)
